Once upon a time...

This project first started in 2002 with Davie Philips and Michael Lemass thinking about how we could get some important issues across to a mainstream audience in a more entertaining way.

We were inspired by how The Simpsons and Michael Moore’s “Bowling for Columbine” did it!

We approached Donal O’Kelly who liked the idea and agreed to come on board as a writer and later as an actor.

Highland Radio in Donegal agreed to broadcast the series.

We were very lucky to get generous funding from The Development Education Unit in Development Cooperation Ireland and from Trócaire for which we are very grateful.

We went through many ideas, pints and coffee together and got through a lot of factual information to arrive at the final 4 episodes of The Little Earth Show. We have learnt a lot along the way and had a lot of help from various people who liked the project.

We hope you the audience like it too and we would really like to hear your comments. We hope that you will become active on issues that effect you, your children or your fellow human beings!
